Ron Speer was J.P. Associates, Inc. President for six years from 2005 through 2010.  He will continue with JPA as a Senior Consultant providing expert advice and consultation to the company, our clients and partners.  Prior to joining JPA, Mr. Speer was a Director in the Washington Federal Practice of PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP, joining the Firm after concluding a 32-year civil service career with the United States Air Force. Mr. Speer retired as the Auditor General of the Air Force. In that position, he reported directly to the Secretary of the Air Force and was responsible for the audit oversight of a $100+ billion military organization. As Auditor General, he headed the Air Force Audit Agency where he managed a worldwide internal audit organization composed of more than 800 members assigned to 50 locations.

Prior to becoming Auditor General, Mr. Speer was the Principal Deputy, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management. As the Principal Deputy, he was responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the Air Force and exercised functional and policy control over a 10,000-person financial management workforce.

Mr. Speer holds a BS in Business Management from the University of Maryland, a MA in Public Administration from Webster University, and attended the Federal Executive Institute, the Johns Hopkins National Security Course, and the Professional Military Comptroller School. He is also a Certified Defense Financial Manager.
